Introduction

Hey, I’m Gaurav — but most people know me as DAMU.

Welcome to my digital space!
I’m an engineer, builder, and storyteller from Bhairahawa, Nepal—a city where bricks, beams, and big dreams shaped not just the skyline, but who I became.

For over a decade, I’ve walked through dusty construction sites, spent nights perfecting structural drawings, and led teams that turn blueprints into reality. To me, civil engineering isn’t just a profession—it’s a form of storytelling. Every pillar I help raise and every site I oversee tells a story of people, purpose, and persistence.

šŸ› ️ Why I Do What I Do

When I first started as a Site Supervisor, I had no idea that I’d fall in love with the chaos of construction—the rhythm of rebar, the challenge of tight deadlines, and the quiet joy of seeing something rise from nothing.

As I grew into the role of Project Manager, I discovered that leadership isn’t about giving orders—it’s about solving problems, inspiring people, and showing up with consistency and heart.

Now, as a Site Engineer, I continue to balance structure and soul in everything I build.

But that’s only half my story.

✍️ Building with Bricks… and Words

I’ve always believed that concrete builds structures—but words build connections.
That’s why I started this blog: to explore the intersections of

  • 🧱 Civil Engineering & Innovation

  • 🧠 Career Growth & Life Lessons

  • šŸŒ Society, Identity & Everyday Experiences

Whether you’re an engineer, a dreamer chasing goals, or someone simply curious about how buildings (and people) grow—I hope you find something here that resonates.

🌐 A Few Things About Me

šŸ’¼ Worked on major projects like the Trade Route Improvement Project (Butwal–Belahiya) and led teams at Ideal Design & Construction.
šŸ”§ Use tools like AutoCAD, SketchUp, and RCC design—the way an artist uses a paintbrush.
šŸ“š Fluent in Nepali, English, and Hindi—and I love using all three to tell meaningful stories.
šŸŽÆ My goal? To bridge the technical and the human—whether through a well-executed beam or a heartfelt blog post.

šŸ¤ Let’s Connect

This site is my open notebook—feel free to read, comment, question, or just say hi.
