Introduction
Welcome to my digital space!
I’m Gaurav, but most people know me as DAMU—a name that stuck with me since my early days and somehow made its way into the world of engineering, construction, and now content creation. I come from Bhairahawa, a lively city in southern Nepal where bricks, beams, and big ideas shaped not just buildings, but who I am.
Over the past 10+ years, I’ve walked through dusty construction sites, sketched late-night structural drawings, and managed teams that turned blueprints into real structures. Civil engineering is more than a profession for me—it’s my way of storytelling. Every pillar I help build, every slab I oversee, and every site I manage carries a story of people, purpose, and persistence.

🛠️ Why I Do What I Do
When I started out as a Site Supervisor, I had no idea that I’d fall in love with the chaos of construction—the sound of rebar, the challenge of project timelines, and the quiet satisfaction of seeing something rise from scratch. From there, my journey evolved, and I took on the role of Project Manager, where I learned that leadership isn’t about giving orders—it’s about solving problems, inspiring teams, and showing up every single day.
Now, as a Site Engineer, I continue that journey—balancing structure and soul in every project I take on.
But that’s only half my story.

✍️ Building with Bricks… and Words
I’ve always believed that concrete can build structures, but it’s words that connect hearts.
That’s why I started this blog—not just to talk about engineering, but to explore the intersections of:
🧱 Civil Engineering & Innovation
🧠 Career Growth & Life Lessons
🌍 Society, Identity & Everyday Experiences
Whether you’re a fellow engineer, a dreamer chasing goals, or someone simply curious about how buildings (and people) grow—I hope you find something here that resonates.

🌐 A Few Things About Me
💼 I’ve worked on major projects like the Trade Route Improvement Project (Butwal–Belahiya) and led teams at Ideal Design & Construction.
🔧 I use tools like AutoCAD, SketchUp, and RCC design like an artist uses a paintbrush.
📚 I’m fluent in Nepali, English, and Hindi, and I love using all three to tell meaningful stories.
🎯 My goal? To bridge the technical and the human—whether that’s through a well-executed beam or a heartfelt blog post.
